We are located in Cairo Montenotte, in the heart of the Ligurian hinterland, in
proncia of Savona. A short distance from both the sea, the mountains and
from the Alta Langa.
Today it is the main center of the Bormida valley around which gravitates a
population of about 30000 people.
Cairo Montenotte is also known for being the birthplace of the
Italian patriot and writer Giuseppe Cesare Abba.
In the municipal territory there are present and preserved two sites of interest
community, in the first the fora consists of the presence of the
Ligurian saffron, while among the animal species we find the knight
of Italy, the cuckoo hawk, the hen harrier and the lapwing. The second site,
at the Adelasia Nature Reserve, sees the presence of
orchids and the cerrosughera; among the animals are the fume crayfish,
carabid beetles and the greater horseshoe.
Other natural sites in the area include the Montenotte Woods, the Grotto
degli Olmi and the Piana di Rocchetta Cairo wildlife oasis.

Cairo Montenotte is also home to the Ferrania Film Museum, a museum of
industrial and territorial culture that is housed in the Scarampi Palace and is
dedicated to the FILM/Ferrania/3M company, once a manufacturer of
photosensitive material, located in the hamlet of the same name.
